Weekend Inspiration: One Kings Lane Estate Sale Success

Coming from the auction world myself, having started out by studying at Christie's in London and then later working at Sotheby's for several years, I find myself completely mesmerized by the complete 360* that auctions have taken, especially with the evolution of online "flash" sales.

Beginning with this Weekend Inspiration's post, I feel inclined to dedicate a few posts this week to some of the markets social shopping sensations starting with One Kings Lane as true Pioneers in this field.

Co founded by Susan Feldman and Alison Pincus with the launch in 2009 of One Kings Lane, they forever transformed the decor shopping and sourcing experience.

Once again and a few years on, they continue to break new ground taking on the their first ever Estate Sale this weekend with nearly 750 items from the legendary decorator Chessy Rayner's homes.

By early Sunday morning, nearly 90% of all the 750 items had been sold out!
Here is a closer look at Chessy and some of the pieces that made her homes so "effortlessly elegant".

Here are a few of my favorites pieces that you may have missed...

DEFINITELY MY FAVORITE!

Did you get lucky? Were you able to make a purchase? If not, don't wait ...head over to One Kings Lane and you might still be able to snatch up 1 or 2 of these historic pieces.

Stay tuned for more on the names that are making headlines in online shopping mania!
